FWA thanks Credit Suisse for the kind sponsorship of the venue and lunch.
FWA is pleased to present the fifth chapter of FWA Males from the Top featuring FWA male champions. The focus for this chapter is - “Why are women stuck in middle management?” Middle management is a key source of future senior executive talent, where emerging leaders build up essential experience and skills. However, capable women who have proved themselves at middle manager level all too often find themselves stuck, unable to gain access to senior management roles – the talent pool from which C-Suite leaders emerge. What can be done to increase their chances of reaching those senior positions, thus unlocking more of the value that diversity at senior levels can deliver?
We are delighted to have on our panel men with vast experiences from varied backgrounds, including banking, insurance and financial services advisory. This fifth chapter will feature Lito Camacho, MD and Country CEO Singapore and Vice Chairman for Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse, as keynote speaker. Joining him in the panel are Antony Eldridge, Partner and PwC Singapore financial service leader and Ian Martin, CEO, HSBC Insurance.
FWA Singapore announced the Male Champions initiative at the annual celebration of International Women’s Day on 6 March 2015. FWA Male Champions actively support the advancement of women in their financial careers. The role of men in supporting the advancement of women is of paramount importance given that they constitute the majority of senior leadership positions and make key hiring and promotion decisions. In this regard, FWA is proud to feature selected male champions who support and are committed to the development of women.
