The intention of blockchain was meant to be a technology where data is immutable, confidential and located on de-centralized network. Its initial application was widely known to be in cryptocurrency applications. With its exponential growth, more and more vertical industries that have also started implementing blockchain. Join us for the lunchtime panel discussion to have a deeper understanding the blockchain ecosystem and its emerging verticals, particularly:
- Breaking down the different parts of the blockchain verticals, particularly digital assets, Defi, NFT, the meta verse and Web 3.0.
- Understanding the risks and what to look out for when dealing with digital assets/NFTs/Defi products – from beginners to more advanced audiences and the tools that can enable you to get started.

- How to navigate a career switch or build a successful career in this space.

Paul Schulte is the founder of Schulte Research, set up in 2012 researching financial institutions and financial technology. He has spent 3 decades in research on financials. He has worked for all 3 branches of the US government, including the NSC at the White House. He currently teaches in 3 universities, has written 5 books and authored hundreds of articles. He has worked for the Number 1 investment bank from US, UK, Japan, China & Switzerland starting in 1990. He has taught on 5 continents. His focus is technological change in banks & insurance.
He has been a source for the WSJ, NYT, Bloomberg, Nikkei, FT, Economist, Barron’s and Forbes. His clients include some of the largest sovereign, pension, mutual and hedge funds globally. His latest book is “AI & Quantum Computing For Finance & Insurance: Fortunes And Challenges For China And America (2019)”. He is also the author of “The Next Revolution in our Credit Driven Economy: The Advent of Financial Technology (2015)”.
Belinda Lim, Co-founder and Chief Product Manager, Avarta.io
Belinda is the Co-founder and Chief Product Manager of Avarta.io which aims to reimagine Trust for DeFi and Web3.0 applications through a decentralized identity management system and Trust Scoring. She is also a highly acclaimed speaker and author of "Blocklass". A five-year blockchain veteran, she had advised several blockchain startups which have since raised millions of dollars.
Janice Park, CEO, OneSixtyTwo Digital Capital
Janice is an experienced banking professional who has spent over 15 years of her career in various areas within Asset Management and Wealth Management industry. She started her career in Toronto, Canada with Royal Bank of Canada and was the Head of Managed Products for the bank’s Wealth Management business in Asia. She started OneSixtyTwo Digital Capital as the CEO in 2019. OneSixtyTwo Digital Capital is a focused on digital asset investments and solutions.

Pamela is Head of Sales, APAC at Talos and responsible for driving institutional adoption of digital assets trading.
Prior to joining Talos, Pamela was Head of Partnerships, APAC at LMAX Group where her focus was to lead business growth with institutional clients in the FX and digital assets space.
Outside of work, she is passionate about women empowerment and has served on the committees of YWLC (Singapore) and WIFA ASIFMA (Hong Kong). Currently, she is volunteering with the women in blockchain committee under Blockchain Association of Singapore.
She started her career with Credit Suisse as an analyst in the equities sales trading division.
Pamela received a Bachelors in Business Administration from Singapore Management University.

No Show Policy
We understand that with busy schedules, there may be times when you cannot make an event after you have registered for it. In the event that you cannot make an event, we appreciate that you use our new tool now available to cancel the event. Cancellation is allowed up to 2 days ahead of the event date. To do so, please log in to the FWA website, under “My Account”, select “My Events”, you can cancel the event registration under the “Cancel registration” column. For members that no-show for 3 consecutive events, we regret to inform that you will be barred from attending any FWA events for the next 3 months. We hope you understand this policy as our events are often in high demand and your co-operation will allow those who can and wish to attend our events to do so.
