Under the gaze of the public eye since s he clinched the “Best Female Athlete” at the inaugural ASEAN Para Game s in 2001\, she has since gone from milestone to milestone in her swimming career\, clinching five gold medals and setting two Games Records -She wh eeled her way to swimming. Theresa will share her life journey\, lessons f rom overcoming hurdles in life and how to come up on top! Theresa Goh is a Paralympic Swimmer from Singapore. She has been representing her country in various international competitions for the past 18 years. Theresa was t he first female Singaporean swimmer to qualify for the Paralympics in 2004 . A former world record holder in the 50m and 200m Breaststroke SB4 catego ry\, she recently clinched a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke SB4 cat egory\, at the Rio Paralympics on her 4th Paralympic Games outing. She was one of the ambassadors of Pink Dot 2017 and is trying to speak up more fo r LGBTQ rights especially in Singapore. A pioneer in the disability sports scene in Singapore\, Theresa identifies as a queer athlete with disabilit y and strongly believes in the importance of seeing the ability in a perso n without erasing their disability.
