Thanks to your generous contribution we have raised funds to help chil dren in Thailand. Pistorio’s motto: “On the way to school\, on the way to life” shares their emphasis on education for communities to be susta inable. There are so many children who suffer from lack of opportunities t o attend schooling due to family circumstances amongst which is financial constraints. Educating these children will equip them with basic literacy and create a better future for them. Two of our exco members went to Chian g Rai in Thailand to visit schools the Pistorio Foundation are supporting. They spent five days teaching three age groups: primary\, secondary and p rofessional school students. Additionally\, thanks to FWA’s collaboratio n with Junior Achievement (JA) in 2014/2015 the volunteers were given teac hing materials which are used in JA programs. It was a great contribution and the children really appreciated it. Below are some of their sharing of their experience. The trip reinforced my belief of the good work that Pi storio Foundation does\, for the community in need. The combination of sin cerity\, perseverance and comprehension of local issues\, I hope\, will co ntinue to draw donors to support this credible charity. I loved meeting th e children\, the teachers\, the Pistorio Foundation volunteers and workers . Chiang Rai and Doi Chang were beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the teachi ng experience and would definitely do it again.
