PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear FWA Members,
I hereby give notice of the Financial Women’s Association Singapore Annual General Meeting, which will be held in person on Thursday, 26 March 2026.
The new Executive Committee slate standing for election remains committed to FWA’s mission of empowering women in finance through education, advancement and mentoring future leaders, while contributing to social and community development for the sustainable betterment of women.
2025 was a meaningful and active year for FWA. Over the course of the year, we organised 14 events, bringing together our community through networking sessions, fireside chats and thematic discussions spanning topics from finance and AI to perimenopause. We also held our first WE Impact walking event in celebration of SG60, reflecting our commitment to wellness.
Our flagship International Women’s Day event welcomed members to hear leaders share perspectives on accelerating action for gender equality. Our biennial Symposium, “Thriving Together Across Gender, Generations & Technology,” drew over 200 attendees, with our FWA Champions leading engaging discussions on intersectionality, intergenerational dynamics and navigating a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Mentoring remains the heartbeat of FWA. In 2025, we matched 32 mentees with 31 mentors and hosted our first Mentoring Appreciation Night to recognise the generosity and dedication of mentors who continue to invest their time in developing the next generation of leaders.
Our community continues to grow and thrive. FWA now comprises 52 corporate members and 284 Ordinary and Associate members, supported by a vibrant volunteer network. Our LinkedIn community has grown to over 6,000 followers, and we have begun revamping our CMS system to further enhance event communications and membership management, with completion expected in 2026.
As FWA celebrates our 25th anniversary in 2026, the incoming Executive Committee looks forward to sharing exciting plans for the year ahead.

Dear FWA Members,
I hereby give notice for this year’s Financial Women’s Association General Meeting which will be held physically on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.
The new Executive Committee slate standing for election will continue to strive to do their best of their abilities to empower women to achieve both their professional and personal goals to develop a better financial services Community by promoting education, advancement, and recognition of women, and encouraging young female leaders of tomorrow to advance in finance through mentoring. Finally, to contribute to social and community development for the sustainable betterment of women.
FWA had a very busy and fulfilling 2024 with several events and our flagship IWD. Key highlights in 2024 included 7 monthly events and an annual year end party which collectively engaged more than 750 participants; 4 corporate membership events, engaging 220 members. As of end 2024, we had 48 corporate members and 222 Ordinary / Associate members showing a steady support and growth from our members. Our Champions Engagement Pillar (previously known as Strategic Engagements) held 3 breakfast sessions underpinning the thought leadership approach of FWA Singapore for DEI practices and sharing amongst senior leaders. A fireside chat with the FWA Founder engaging 179 attendees. Our WEimpact pillar held 2 dynamic huddle sessions engaging +80 participants.
Mentoring is a cornerstone of FWA. Thanks to our unique matching approach, the outcomes of our initiative has grown from strength to strength over the years and in 2024 we were faced with a successful sign-up rate with a final selection of 39 mentees and 39 mentors from 30 financial institutions, and 3 in person events.
Staying connected with our members is key and our Linkedln following continues to grow with roughly 4.9k followers to date. To ensure connectivity to members, we have a Whatsapp broadcast channel in place since 2023 to socialize our activities. Furthermore, to ensure strong communication and connectivity amongst our volunteers; we launched the FWA Volunteers Whatsapp Channel.
2024 was a year of great achievement. In addition to the activities above; FWA was involved in the preparation of the CFA DEI Code. Our annual offsite ensured that collectively as an Executive Committee we are aligned towards achieving the mission for FWA Singapore as we aim to reach more women in finance and thus achieving our goal to make a meaningful impact to women in Singapore.

Dear FWA Members,
I hereby give notice for this year’s Financial Women’s Association General Meeting which will be held physically on Thursday, 30 March 2023.
We seek your support to sign up to vote in our new executive committee team 2023. Our new Executive Committee slate will continue to strive to do their best of their abilities to empower Women to achieve their Personal and Professional Goals in order to develop a better Financial Services Community by promoting education, advancement, and recognition of women, encourage young female leaders of tomorrow to advance in finance through mentoring. Finally, to contribute to social and community development for the sustainable betterment of women.
As always, FWA had a very busy and fulfilling 2022 as we transitioned back into a new normal of physical events. Key highlights in 2022 included 7 monthly events and an annual year end party which engaged more than 550 participants; 2 corporate membership events of which we had 55 corporate members YE 2022. Following COVID, FWA Singapore sought to understand the work life balance amongst women in finance to support equitable growth.
Our strategic engagements pillar ran 5 breakfast sessions with champions engaging 25 champions on diversity and inclusion and WEimpact held 2 dynamic huddle sessions engaging +100 participants.
Our cornerstone mentoring program received an overwhelming signup which ended with a final selection of 49 mentees (30%) out of the total applications with participation from 33 financial institutions and other related organisations.
It was a year of great achievement as we transitioned back into a new normal of physical events. On social media, we have continued to grow with over 3.4k followers at YE 2022.

I hereby give notice for this year’s Financial Women’s Association General Meeting to commence on 26th March 2020.
In line with Singapore’s Dorscon Code Orange situation, we have decided to run our AGM on Zoom / conference call during lunch time. We invite all FWA members to dial in to the meeting. Registration will be required, and details are below. While we move from our usual traditional evening AGM, the spirit and passion has not diminished in this subdued environment. We will continue to better ourselves in 2020 even though we had a great 2019 year. Looking back, we did a big change on the look and feel of FWA, launch of our Female Champions initiative and created solid participation in our events and improved our corporate engagements. In recognition of our work, we have been recognised with 1165 new Linkedin followers in 2019.
Definitely we are not resting but innovating. While we navigate our way through this new condition, we are taking this time in planning our programs and upgrades. So please join me on 26th March to welcome the incoming 2020 Exco team who will be presenting their respective plans for you.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It is with mixed feelings that I give notice of this year’s FWA Annual General Meeting, as it signals the end of my 3-year tenure as President of the FWA. It has been an absolute honour serving you these last 3 years, but I also have great pride in being able to handover the leadership mantle in a well-planned succession to a strong team, testament to the exuberant spirit of volunteerism and passion for gender diversity amongst the Executive Committee.
This year’s AGM marks the first time Corporate Members cast a vote, after we successfully passed the Constitutional Amendment at last year’s AGM to allow Corporate Members to be considered Voting Members. We hope to have our 30+ Corporate Members well-represented at the AGM to provide feedback to the FWA.
Meanwhile, our individual membership base crossed 200 for the first time last year, while our Male Champions community exceeded 40 individuals. We continue to be so grateful for the support we have received for our events which continue to be constantly over-subscribed; as well as for the mentors who put themselves forward to help guide and coach younger women in our Mentoring Programme; and the generosity shown to our adopted charity, Daughters of Tomorrow.
With the understanding you have shown us with respect to the increase in membership fees implemented last year, we were also able to upgrade our IT infrastructure to automate our processes, increase efficiency and improve overall governance within the FWA.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It’s time to give notice of the FWA Annual General Meeting. Once again, we invite you to come be a part of the organisation's plans for the coming year as we vote in the new slate for 2018/9, and debate key constitutional changes that the current Exco is proposing.
1. Voting Rights for Corporate Members:
Over the last 8 years, we have seen the number of Corporate Members increase significantly from fewer than 5 to more than 30. These Corporate Members have been very generously supporting our events and activities with venue and F&B sponsorship, speakers and mentors, on a frequent basis. A large proportion of our Male Champions have also been nominated by these Corporate Members to help FWA build the eco-system of support in the industry for gender diversity.
As such, we feel it is necessary that we revise our Constitution to allow Corporate Members voting rights, in addition to individual Ordinary Members. Each Corporate Member is to be allowed one vote, to be administered by a representative pre-notified to the FWA.
The above revision to the Constitution will pass if it receives a majority of votes among the current voting membership base at the AGM.
2. Voting Rights for Male Members:
Similarly in the last 5 years, we have also seen a significant increase in the participation and engagement of men in the FWA, as the FWA itself demonstrates the value of inclusiveness.
While we will open up this topic for discussion at this year's AGM, we are however not immediately proposing a revision to the Constitution at this point, in order to allow more time to study precedents and consult among other women's organisations in Singapore who have already taken this step.
We are therefore expecting a lively discussion at this year's AGM, and would therefore really appreciate you joining us!
And to help us unwind afterwards, we will have Diageo conduct a whiskey-tasting session at the end of the evening.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
A year has flown by and it’s time to give notice of the FWA Annual General Meeting again.
What an eventful year it has been for our Crystal Jubilee year, and a big shout-out goes to the wonderful FWA Executive and Sub-Committee members who have so generously given of their time and energy for the cause of gender diversity, as well as to you, our members, for your strong support to FWA throughout the year.
Our Crystal Jubilee event in Dec 2016 raised a total of $17,000 for our designated charity, Daughters of Tomorrow; our Mentoring Programme continues to grow year-on-year and achieved a record bumper crop of more than 30 mentees in 2016; for International Women’s Day 2017 this week, we broke further ground by getting 19 FWA Male Champions, representing 15 Financial Institutions in Singapore, to pledge to achieve 30% of women in senior leadership roles by 2020 (http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/banking-finance/pledge-to-boost-number-of-women-leaders-in-fis).
Our membership base has continued to grow. As at the end of 2016, we had over 180 individual members, and 34 corporate members. Partnerships with our Corporate Members continue to deepen and broaden through regular corporate sharing sessions, and collaboration for our busy event calendar – in 2016 we rolled out the very popular WINTECH series focusing on women in the FinTech space, in addition to the Males from the Top and Kopitiam Chat – Female Role Model series.
Our accounts remain healthy. However looking ahead towards the scale-up of our events and activities to meet members’ growing expectations, we find ourselves in a position to review our revenue and cost structures in accordance with an inflationary environment. At this year’s AGM, we will be proposing some key changes to our membership fee structures that have been in place since 2001, to address the future budget of the FWA.
We would therefore really appreciate it if you can join us at the AGM to give us your feedback and opinion. Afterall the FWA exists because of and for you!
As if you really needed any enticement (!), we will also be having Underground Wines conduct a wine-tasting session after the AGM, featuring Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Rose and Pinot Noir, to be paired with a delectable buffet spread by Camellia Private Catering.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
We approach the time of the year again, to give notice of the FWA Annual General Meeting, and to invite members to join us in the AGM.
In the last 12 months, we have populated our Calendar of Events with yet more varied and interesting educational talks and/or and networking sessions, most of which have been well received by our members, based on the good level of registrations for each event.
We brought to our members quality speakers, on topics of current interest, ranging from Cultural Capital, Leadership, to The Art of Connecting to People, and Unconscious Bias. We introduced a new series of talks by our Male Champions who are senior male leaders in the financial services industry, with each session focused on different areas such as the Wealth and Asset Management Industry, Digital Banking and Fintech and Corporate and Investment Banking. We continued our Up Close and Personal Breakfast Talks with senior female leaders who shared their personal career journeys, so that mid- to senior- members can learn from and be inspired by these role models.
Partnerships with our corporate members deepened, through regular corporate lunch sharing, and partnered events with our corporate members. In addition to the partnerships we have in past years with other select institutions such as CFA, this year we partnered with INSEAD to develop a FWA Gender Diversity survey, in which at least 10 financial services institutions have participated including corporate members.
Our Mentoring programme was once again a success by all accounts, not just for our Mentees, but also for many of our Mentors. Our charity sub-committee continued with the FWA tradition of serving the larger community beyond the financial industry, via its collaboration with Junior Achievement, to promote financial literacy in the young.
Our membership base continued to grow. As at the end of 2015, we had 195 individual members, and 32 corporate members. We thank all our members for their support. We hope that all members will continue to provide us with suggestions and ideas so that we can bring yet more value to our members.
Our accounts continue to be healthy. As our membership and breadth of activities grow, our Exco and sub committees will be more stretched, and it is inevitable that we may have to deploy more of our funds into the engagement of professional third party service providers. However, we will always need volunteers. If, like the volunteers who are currently serving FWA today, you are excited at the opportunity to help women in the financial services industry grow and to contribute back to the community, please join us in the AGM as we give an update of past events and our plans going forward.
And what better way to share this than with a 6-course Japanese meal prepared especially for you at the Sen of Japan. Preparing this special meal is Chef Nakano Hiromi, who used to head the famous NOBU at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Singapore skyline at Marina Bay Sands whilst dining, and take this opportunity to network with fellow FWA members.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
2013/2014 has been another busy and fruitful year for FWA Singapore. We continued to bring to our members, through an average of two talks each month, relevant content and good speakers aimed at building self-awareness, enhancing personal effectiveness, succeeding in the workplace and work/life integration. Fun and educational networking sessions allowed members to mingle and get to know one another. We continued to deepen our partnerships with our corporate members, through our quarterly corporate lunch sharing. The growth in FWA corporate memberships, from a handful of 3 members in 2011 to 28 as at end-2014, speaks of the success we have had in our engagement and partnerships with our corporate members.
We thank our individual members for supporting us and in providing suggestions and ideas to help us improve and grow. To recognize our loyal FWA members and to engage more senior women as role models for younger women, we launched an “Up Close & Personal” leadership talk series, inviting senior women in the financial industry to share with mid- to senior-level women their journeys in life. The female leaders who have shared included Catherine Low, Sharon Craggs, Eleanor Seet and Tan Su Shan.
We continued our flagship events – International Women’s Day celebration and Senior Executive lunch – focused on thought leadership and best practices sharing. Through partnerships with select educational institutes and media partners, FWA Singapore has gained increased recognition as the only platform dedicated to advancing the professional and personal growth of women in financial services.
Our growth has come alongside healthy accounts! We continue to serve the community via our charity concert in support of Pistorio Foundation. And our mentoring program, in its third year, saw more mentees being mentored, thanks to support from our corporate members and senior women and men that have stepped forward to mentor. On that note, we have stepped up our engagement of male leaders to support what we do, and just launched our Male Champions initiative on International Women’s Day. We look forward to more events with them in the year ahead.
It is with deep gratitude and thanks to my fellow exco members that the FWA has grown in visibility and stature. Still, we need more volunteers to step forward. Committed and aligned with our mission of building confident and successful women who in turn contribute back to the community. Please join us and Make It Happen.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
FWA had another scintillating year in 2013/2014, organising 32 events including our flagship events: International Women’s Day celebration, bringing together a panel of inspiring women to share with us their journey, and our Senior Executives Lunch, a high-level networking forum designed for thought leadership and best practices sharing. We launched our first corporate members' engagement lunch, as our corporate membership base continued to swell as FWA gained industry recognition for being the platform to connect and engage diversity and inclusion teams in the financial services industry. Our mentoring program, after only just two years in the making, was recognised with the prestigious Aware “Initiatives of the Year” Award. As we continue to engage our members and partners and listen to feedback to better ourselves, we have an even more ambitious line-up this year. More details will be unveiled at our AGM on 27 March.
So join us as we share with you our plans for 2014/2015. FWA is the only platform dedicated to women in the financial services industry with the aim of empowering and mentoring women to success, both at work and in life. As we expand, we need more dedicated and committed volunteers who are as passionate as we are. We welcome you to join our expanding team, and be part of a successful non-profit association that serves the needs of its members and our community.

This year's AGM will be held at the fashionable MARUKYU まるきゅう, a designer decor Japanese Restaurant located at Telok Ayer Street offering fine Japanese cuisine in Omakase and Kaiseki style. Launched by bespoke apparel designer Chong Han San and banker Danny Chong together with Chef Derrick Lau of Dezato, Boat Quay fame, Marukyu has quickly established itself as a premier Japanese culinary venue.
For our AGM evening, MARUKYU will first introduce us to the art of proper maki making. While for dinner, Executive Chef Derrick Lau, who has over 22 years of experience in Japanese haute cuisine including 7 years with Nadaman in Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, will prepare a sumptuous 5-course feast of Sakura Ebi Salad, Sashimi - Kanpachi (Amber Jack), Sake (Salmon), Tai (Sea Bream), a delicious Grilled Dish of Hamachi Teriyaki (Grilled Yellow Tail with sweet sauce) or Australia's Wagyu Steak, some assorted Tempura Inaniwa Udon, all topped off with Black Sesame Ice-Cream.
We look forward to hosting this year's AGM and learning from the night’s Japanese cuisine experience. More importantly, we want to hear from YOU, our members, on what we can do to meet our FWA ambitions and goals for the year, and for the future.
